Spotting scopes are excellent for seeing objects that are far away clearly and precisely. However, different spotting scopes will provide a wide range of magnification and this may be important to the type of activity you’re pursuing such as target shooting, hunting, birdwatching or night surveillance. For extreme long-range viewing of 1000 yards, you will absolutely need the best spotting scopes with incredible performance. Keep in mind, though, that you will need to pay a little higher for a spotting scope for can support a magnification of 1000 yards and beyond. While affordable spotting scopes are great for beginners, they don’t have the optical build that offers clarity and precision. Furthermore, they’re often not very unusable for long range applications. Nevertheless, I don’t want to knock them out completely because they’re good for those who may be interested in a hobby requiring spotting scopes. But, if you’ve been disappointed with regular spotting scopes, then upgrading might be the right step up!
